Final Fantsy XII The Zodiac Age Announced

Square-Enix announced Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age. This is not a prequel or sequel to the classic PS2 title, instead, it's an HD remastered version of Final Fantasy XII.

Hinting at the new HD remaster title, this is a newer version of FFXII known as the International Zodiac Job System that was never released outside Japan.

Square-Enix will put some effort in the HD treatment of FFXII, just like they did on FFX/X-2, meaning they will use new character models and improved lighting and textures to the game's graphics. I'm hoping for a smooth 60FPS gameplay as well. The soundtrack is also getting rearranged and the game will have English and Japanese voice acting. You can switch from the original and rearranged soundtrack and change the voice language in the options menu. Rumor has it that they will have new voice acting for the HD version, let's just hope that it's not as bad as the Silent Hill HD remaster's new voice acting.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age (HD remaster) is going to be released next year (2017) and it's exclusive only for the PS4. You can pre-order the game now.
