Resident Evil Revelations 2 Trailer Impressions + Few Analysis

A new trailer of the sequel for Resident Evil Revelations was revealed a few days ago that shows some hints on how this game will play, some more bits and how scary the game is going to be.

There are two trailers, the first one is a live action trailer that shows a girl running across the room full of people then suddenly zombies. These people wear wristbands that have a green light that turns red if they become infected. The second trailer shows the actual cutscene or gameplay that reveals that the scenario of the game, which I think, is a "party gone wrong". Then the scene changes to a dark prison and some jerk is orchestrating the chaos behind the monitors of the CCTV cameras in every room, hence the tagline "EVIL IS WATCHING".

The trailer also reveals that the protagonist of this game is Claire Redfield who haven't seen canonical action since Code Veronica X (game) and Degeneration (CG movie). She looks older here and look less than the Claire that we know, probably temporary since the game is still in development. She also wears the wristband, I think this is going to be your lifebar or infection-rate bar (more like Dead Space with a mix of RE: Outbreak). If I'm correct, we will be seeing less elements in the HUD of the game. The gameplay like it's prequel is going to be "good" slow and scary just like the old times.

The new character is Moira, she's the daughter of Barry Burton (why no Barry?). Moira will provide Claire support, this opens up for more realistic team support where a more combat experienced Claire will only attack and protect Moira, while Moira will provide healing, torch light or enemy distractions and door unlocking. Another player can control Moira for more effective teamwork.

The graphics of this game looks great, it reminds me of The Evil Within with dark, rusty and bloody corridors. Yes, the zombies are back some of them have really gruesome design, which is great and I can't wait to see more new monsters/infected and surprises that will make us jump off our seats.

I highly anticipate this game that will be released for PS3, PS4, XBox 360, XBox One and PC.
