My Final Fantasy VII Remake Hype and Some Concerns

So we finally got a glimpse on the current status of the game. This game opens a lot of opportunities for SQEX to drain our pockets and wallets. I'm excited to get this game, play it and re-live FFVII's epic and fun moments in HD! But I read about SQEX's method in making and releasing this game...

The game looks amazing, SQEX is using the Unreal Engine 4 to make this game. SQEX was fast on showing us this gameplay trailer complete with animations and English voice acting. This shows that they're really far in the development of this game. Anyway the latest trailer shows most of the game's opening scenes where Cloud jumping off the train after Biggs and Jessie beats up some Shinra troops, the encounter between Cloud, Barret and the Guard Scorpion and Cloud getting surrounded by the enemies then jumps off the bridge to ride the train.

They also showed some gameplay like exploration, in-game cutscenes and battle system. Wow the battle system looks great. The battles are more action oriented and takes on the same area of the map. I think the battle system is an hybrid between FFVII's classic system and Kingdom Hearts' system. The battle system also suggests that you can freely switch between your party members.

I've read that FFVII remake is going to be episodic. Because that way, SQEX will release the game as early as possible. This may be a good thing because I think they will add "episodes" on FFVII's original story like Crisis Core, Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus and hopefully the total conclusion of the FFVII compilation of games. The negative side of the game's episodic nature is that the players' adventure and progress will be limited until the next episode becomes available and these episodes costs money. Well I'm not in a rush to be the first guy to play the game so I will be waiting for the full package, thank you.

I also fear that because the game is episodic that the game is going to be semi-linear or limited in one area. For example, you're only limited to explore Midgar until the next episode. I want to explore, backtrack and go for 100% completion in the world of FFVII. Speaking of world, I want the overworld map or even better than that, like real large open world map in this game.
